The most recent session at LinuxWorld Informatics Pvt Ltd conducted by Red Hat APAC Director Arun Eapen CISSP, RHCA, RHCSS, RHCDS, RHCVA sir and Red Hat Principal Instructor Sreejith Anujan sir was undoubtedly one of the most enlightening ones that I’ve actively attended ever!
The live demonstrations through which we learnt about #Ansible Tower, provisioning #AWS instances through Ansible Tower templates, managing our service credentials securely, #automated notification system over chat applications such as #Slack upon completion of an Ansible job, visualizing workflows, and the list goes on!
I would really love to have such elightening sessions even in the future as it really helps us have a look at how the industry implements technologies such as Ansible which minimize tremendous amount of manual efforts in the industry!
Sreejith sir give us a hands on practical for launching an instance(EC2) from the ansible tower and it wad amazing to see that ansible tower itself manages the credential of #AWS , we don’t need to login to separately to aws cloud and the key for launching the instance was encrypted. Thus ansible tower is doing the things in beautiful way and we get the notifications too.
Another practical shown by him was job templates, we can create paths of the processes to do the required task and a the notifications of completion of your task was shown on our slack channel automatically without doing manually and even the progress of our team members can be shown in simiar way in #Slack channel
And special thanks to Vimal Daga sir and Preeti Chandak ma’am for providing us with such a wonderful opportunity. This means a lot for students like me who are very inexperienced and ignorant but eager to learn such useful tools and technologies!
